As most of you are aware Brisbane RSC nominated charity for season 2010/11 was the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, located at Fig Tree Pocket, which was severely effect during the floods last January. During last season with all of your donations and fundraising efforts we, as a club, managed to raise a total of $500 for the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. We have already presented to them a cheque for $250, which was greatly appreciated, so we have decided that as a club we will have our annual Christmas event down at Lone Pine on Sunday 4th December and we can then present them with the other $250 as a whole group and enjoy a day where the Teddy Bears meet the Koala Bears.
Lone Pine have very kindly put together a package for us which includes a reduced entry fee and a BBQ lunch and they have also offered to supply some beverages, for purchase on the day during lunch, which they do not normally do.
Payment to be made in advance is $43 per adult and $33 per child (3-13yrs), this includes entry, lunch and all the daily talks and activities. There can be some additional costs for feeding the animals, guided tours and having your picture taken with animals etc but these are optional that can be your choice on the day.
If you are thinking of coming along please contact us asap at

so that we can provide them numbers for lunch. It would be great to get many of our members along for a great family day and presentation of the cheque. We plan to meet at Lone Pine at 9.30am which would then give everyone a chance to take in all of the talks and activities throughout the day.
Any questions please let us know and we'll do our best to answer them.
